8: Faculty Lecture-Cracks, Transformation, Sense of Place: A reading from The Smell of Sulphur, a novel in progress. Kendall Hall, 7:30pm. The Smell of Sulphur by English instructor, Jill Widner, fictionalizes her experiences coming of age in Sumatra, Indonesia, in the 1960’s as the daughter of a petroleum engineer. Admission is free.
